Game Studies Colloquium

During my Masters at State University of New York,  University at Buffalo, I took a course from the Master of Fine Arts program. This was an open-ended course around the creation of Video Games and discussing in-depth, the history of games, it’s role in the current day-and-age and what scope they have. Not just in the sense of mainstream product driven industry, but as a creative form of expression.

Classes included discussions around a topic, deep dives into specific game designs, and presentations on critical analysis of games. My final dissertation was on the game Snatcher, which can be read here.
